Ob-R Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that specifically targets an epitope between amino acids 870-894 of the short form of the leptin receptor (Ob-R) of mouse origin. Ob-R monoclonal antibody (B-3) detects both the short and long forms of Ob-R, also known as LEPR or CD295, in species including mouse, rat, human, and canine, making Ob-R (B-3) antibody suitable for applications like western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The Ob-R leptin receptor is a member of the class I cytokine receptor family and structurally resembles the gp130 signal-transducing component of the IL-6 receptor complex. Ob-R plays a critical role in regulating body weight, energy balance, and neuroendocrine functions by mediating the effects of leptin, a hormone produced by adipose tissue that suppresses appetite and promotes energy expenditure.
