Ly-6C Antibody (ER-MP20) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Ly-6C in mouse samples through applications such as immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-Ly-6C antibody (ER-MP20) recognizes a 131 amino acid protein that belongs to the Ly-6 family of glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored proteins, characterized by a distinctive cysteine-rich domain containing O-linked carbohydrates. Ly-6C plays a crucial role in immune response, particularly in CD8 T cell activation and regulation, which are essential for targeting and eliminating infected or malignant cells.
