SEE ALSO...

TARDBP Antibody (41-7.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TARDBP protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TARDBP antibody (41-7.1) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. TARDBP, also known as TDP-43, is a crucial nuclear protein characterized by two RNA recognition motif (RRM) domains, which facilitate RNA processing and regulation. TARDBP is ubiquitously expressed, with highest concentrations found in placenta, lung, pancreas, spleen, and genital tract, highlighting importance in diverse biological processes. TARDBP monoclonal antibody (41-7.1) recognizes a protein involved in splicing of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, acting as a negative regulator of splicing activity. Additionally, TARDBP binds to TAR DNA sequence motifs of HIV, functioning as a transcriptional repressor that inhibits HIV-1 transcription, thereby playing a role in viral regulation. TARDBP (41-7.1) antibody targets a major component of ubiquitin-positive inclusion bodies, which are associated with various neurodegenerative diseases, suggesting potential involvement in disease pathogenesis. Multiple isoforms of TARDBP due to alternative splicing further underscore functional diversity and relevance in cellular processes.
