SLC43 siRNA, shRNA Plasmid and shRNA Lentiviral Particles gene silencers include:
SLC43A2 (solute carrier family 43, member 2) and SLC43A3 are multi-pass membrane proteins that belong to the SLC43A solute transporter family. Expressed in a variety of tissues with highest expression in kidney and placenta, SLC43A2 functions as a sodium- and chloride-independent transport channel protein that facilitates the transport of large neutral amino acids across membranes. Overexpression of SLC43A2 is associated with head and neck carcinomas, implicating SLC43A2 as a tumor-associated protein. Highly expressed in macrophages, SLC43A3 is thought to function as a transporter of metabolites and nutrients that are necessary during developmental events, such as organogenesis. Specifically, SLC43A3 is involved in epithelial development, including the formation of cell sheets and hollow tubes that are used for membrane interface and molecular transport. |
