Conventional secondary antibodies for Western Blotting are supplied at 200 µg in 0.5 ml volume, to be used in Western blotting at a dilution of 1:500–1:10000. (Starting dilution for anti-goat and anti-rabbit secondary antibodies: 1:5000; anti-mouse secondary antibodies: 1:2000). Pre-adsorbed secondary antibodies are recommended for Western blotting of immunoglobulin-rich tissues and cells. Pre-adsorbed secondary antibodies are pre-adsorbed with human IgG and mouse IgG; the anti-mouse IgG antibodies are pre-adsorbed with human IgG; the anti-human IgG antibodies are pre-adsorbed with mouse IgG.

* The donkey anti-mouse IgG is isotype-balanced and is developed by immunizing with equal parts IgG₁, IgG_2a, IgG_2b and IgG₃. The above reagents are not for use with Cruz Marker™ molecular weight standards.
