α Tubulin Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody, raised against human α Tubulin amino acids 149-448. anti-α Tubulin antibody (B-7) detects α Tubulin from a range of species, including mouse, rat, and human, in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Additionally, α Tubulin monoclonal antibody (B-7) has cross-reactivity with other species, including canine, bovine, and porcine. Tubulin is a critical component of the cytoskeleton, playing a central role in cell structure, shape, and movement. α Tubulin exists in five distinct forms: α, β, γ, δ, and ε Tubulin, with α and β Tubulin forming heterodimers that assemble into microtubules. These microtubules are essential for various cellular processes, including mitosis, intracellular transport, and maintaining cell integrity. Tubulin′s role in intracellular transport is vital for delivering organelles and vesicles to specific locations, ensuring proper cellular function and response to environmental signals. Furthermore, involvement in mitotic spindle formation is critical for accurate chromosome segregation, highlighting importance in maintaining genomic stability during cell division. α Tubulin (B-7) antibody is also available in several conjugated forms for specific experimental needs, such as horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates.
