NFκB p65 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 1-286 at the N-terminus of the NFκB p65 protein of human origin. NFκB p65 monoclonal antibody (F-6) reacts with mouse, rat, and human samples, making NFκB p65 (F-6) antibody ideal for applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NFκB p65, also known as RelA, is a critical subunit of the NFκB transcription factor complex, which regulates genes involved in inflammation, immune response, cell survival, and proliferation. Activation of NFκB p65 begins with the degradation of IκB proteins, which sequester NFκB in the cytoplasm under resting conditions. Once IκB is degraded, NFκB p65 is released and rapidly translocates to the nucleus, a process facilitated by nuclear localization signals (NLS). This translocation enables NFκB p65 to access and bind specific κB enhancer sequences in the promoter regions of target genes, initiating transcription. Dynamic movement of NFκB p65 between the cytoplasm and nucleus is tightly regulated and crucial for a rapid and context-specific transcriptional response to environmental and cellular signals. Studying this translocation is vital for understanding how dysregulation of NFκB activity contributes to inflammatory diseases and cancer. NFκB p65 monoclonal antibody (F-6) is available in both non-conjugated and conjugated forms, including HRP, PE, FITC, and Alexa Fluor® conjugates.
