Dexamethasone Anticuerpos

Dexamethasone, an insoluble, synthetic, adrenocortical steroid compound, is a potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant that resembles the glucocorticoid class of steroid hormones. Excreted by the kidneys, Dexamethasone is used to treat a wide variety of afflictions, including rheumatoid arthritis, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, plantar fasciitis, joint swelling and high altitude cerebral edema, and is also used to counteract the antiemetic side-effects of cancer treatments. Dexamethasone exists as a white, odorless powder that can be administered orally or intravenously and, if given for an extended period of time, may cause such side-effects as stomach upset, muscle atrophy, allergic reactions, hypertension and increased appetite.
