RARγ Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RARγ in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF) applications. RARγ monoclonal antibody (G-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. RARγ, a member of the retinoic acid receptor family, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression during vertebrate development and tissue differentiation by acting as a nuclear transcription factor. RARγ binding to retinoic acid, a metabolite of vitamin A, is essential for function, as this binding induces conformational changes that facilitate receptor interaction with DNA, thereby promoting transcription of target genes. RARγ is expressed in a tissue-specific manner, with significant roles in skin and lung tissues, where expression can be altered in pathological conditions such as lung cancer. The human RARγ gene is located on chromosome 12q13, and understanding RARγ function and regulation is vital for elucidating the mechanisms of retinoid signaling in health and disease.
