Phox2b Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Phox2b protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Phox2b (B-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Phox2b plays a critical role in neuronal differentiation, particularly within developing sympathetic, parasympathetic, and enteric ganglia, as Phox2b is essential for differentiation of all central and nonperipheral noradrenergic centers in brain. Phox2b is primarily located in nucleus of neuronal cells, where Phox2b functions as a transcription factor, regulating expression of genes necessary for neuronal development. Nuclear localization of Phox2b enables direct influence on gene transcription, thereby guiding fate of neural crest-derived cells as they differentiate into various neuronal lineages. Phox2b is crucial for regulation of endogenous tyrosine hydroxylase and dopamine-beta hydroxylase, which are vital for catecholamine synthesis. Interaction between Phox2b and other transcription factors, such as Phox2a, underscores Phox2b′s significance in broader context of neurogenesis and establishment of enteric nervous system.
