Endophilin B1 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Endophilin B1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Endophilin B1 antibody (G-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Endophilin B1 plays a crucial role in maintaining mitochondrial morphology and regulating outer mitochondrial membrane dynamics, essential for cellular energy production and apoptosis. Endophilin B1 contributes to proper synaptic vesicle trafficking and mitochondrial dynamics in neurons, influencing neurotransmitter release and neuronal health. The N-terminal domain of Endophilin B1 shows significant similarity to the lipid-binding and -modifying domain of class A endophilins, suggesting involvement in lipid metabolism and membrane dynamics. The Endophilin B1 gene produces at least three splice variants: Endophilin B1a, found widely across tissues, and Endophilin B1b and B1c, expressed primarily in brain tissue, highlighting diverse functional roles in different biological contexts.
