p-VASP Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects phosphorylated VASP, specifically Ser 157 phosphorylated VASP, in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-VASP (F-3) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. VASP (vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein) plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular architecture by interacting with actin filaments, which is essential for various cellular processes, including cell migration and adhesion. This interaction is particularly important in the context of the Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome, where mutations in the WASP gene lead to significant immune deficiencies and other complications. VASP is phosphorylated at serine 157 by cAMP and cGMP-dependent kinases, which regulates VASP activity and localization to focal adhesions and microfilaments, thereby influencing cytoskeletal dynamics. VASP is also phosphorylated at serine 239 by cGMP-dependent protein kinase, further modulating VASP function in cellular signaling pathways. Anti-p-VASP antibody (F-3) specifically recognizes phosphorylated VASP, making this antibody a valuable tool for studying VASP′s role in health and disease.
