ORC6 Antibody (3A4) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects ORC6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-ORC6 antibody (3A4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ORC6 is a vital component of the origin recognition complex (ORC), which is essential for DNA replication initiation. ORC6 plays a critical role in forming pre-replication complexes necessary for accurate and timely genome replication. ORC6, along with other ORC subunits, binds to specific origins of replication, serving as a scaffold for additional initiation factors assembly. This binding regulates the cell cycle, particularly during G1-S transition, where cells prepare for DNA synthesis. ORC6 presence in proliferating cell nuclei, including tissues such as testis, underscores its importance in cellular proliferation and genomic stability. ORC6 expression throughout the cell cycle, alongside other ORC proteins, ensures efficient and accurate DNA replication, preventing potential genomic instability that could lead to diseases such as cancer.
