Descripción
NP-40 Alternative is an alternative form of Nonidet P-40, which functions as a polyglycol ether (nonionic) surfactant that is useful in isolating and purifying membrane proteins in two dimensional gel electrophoresis. Studies indicate that NP-40 Alternative can be employed to solubilize cerebral GABA receptors. Also NP-40 Alternative is an efficient tool to study breast cancer by functioning as a solubilizing agent interacting with membrane proteins and lipids. Furthermore, Nonidet P-40 is beneficial in the extraction of MHC proteins and the zwitterionic detergent CHAPS (sc-29088). We also offer Nonidet® P40 (substitute)(sc-29102).
