SEE ALSO...

BMP-2/4 Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BMP-2/4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BMP-2/4 Antibody (H-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BMP-2/4 plays a crucial role in bone and cartilage development, acting as a signaling molecule that regulates cellular proliferation and differentiation. BMP-2/4 is primarily located in the extracellular matrix and is secreted by various cell types, which is essential for mediating the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathway. This pathway is vital for proper formation of bone and cartilage, and dysregulation can lead to various skeletal disorders. BMP-2/4 interacts with specific receptors, including type I and type II receptors, which possess intrinsic serine/threonine kinase activity, initiating a cascade of intracellular signaling events. Understanding BMP-2/4 localization and function is important for elucidating its role in developmental biology and potential therapeutic applications in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
