SEE ALSO...

Syntaxin 1 Antibody (HPC-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Syntaxin 1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Syntaxin 1 antibody (HPC-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Syntaxin 1 plays a crucial role in vesicular transport, which is vital for eukaryotic cell survival. Syntaxin 1 is primarily located on synaptic vesicle membranes and is essential for vesicle fusion with the plasma membrane, a process necessary for neurotransmitter release. Syntaxin 1 is critical for synaptic transmission, interacting with other proteins in the SNARE complex, including synaptobrevin and SNAP-25, to facilitate vesicle docking and fusion. Disruptions in Syntaxin 1 function can lead to various neurological disorders, highlighting Syntaxin 1′s importance in maintaining synaptic integrity and communication within the nervous system.
