Perforin 1 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Perforin 1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Perforin 1 (F-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Perforin 1 plays a crucial role in the immune response, particularly in the cytotoxic activity of T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, which are essential for eliminating virus-infected and tumorigenic cells. Perforin 1 is primarily located in the granules of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, where Perforin 1 is stored until needed for immune defense. Upon activation, Perforin 1 is exocytosed and forms pores in the target cell membrane, allowing the entry of granzymes, which are serine proteases that induce apoptosis in the target cells. Perforin 1′s ability to create transmembrane channels is vital for the immune system′s ability to control infections and tumors effectively. Perforin 1 expression can be influenced by various cytokines, including interleukins 2, 3, 4, and 6, as well as tumor necrosis factor and interferon-gamma, highlighting Perforin 1′s regulatory role in immune responses.
