SEE ALSO...

TNF-R1 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TNF-R1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TNF-R1 monoclonal antibody (H-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TNF-R1 protein, also known as tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1A, plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of tumor necrosis factor (TNF), a key cytokine involved in systemic inflammation and immune response. TNF-R1 is predominantly located on the surface of most cell types, where TNF-R1 initiates signaling pathways that can lead to cell survival, apoptosis, or inflammation, depending on the cellular context. TNF-R1′s ability to transduce apoptotic signals is particularly important, as TNF-R1 helps regulate programmed cell death, which is essential for maintaining tissue homeostasis and immune system function. TNF-R1 interaction with TNF ligand can activate various downstream signaling cascades, including the activation of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB), which is vital for inflammatory responses and cell survival. Understanding TNF-R1 function and signaling mechanisms is critical for developing therapeutic strategies targeting inflammatory diseases and cancer, where TNF signaling is often dysregulated.
