NIK Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody designed to target the NFκB Inducing Kinase (NIK), also known as MAP3K14, across human, mouse, and rat species. NIK monoclonal antibody (A-12) specifically recognizes an epitope within amino acids 700-9473 at the C-terminus of the NIK protein, ensuring precise detection in various applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NIK is a crucial serine/threonine kinase involved in the non-canonical NFκB signaling pathway, where NIK plays a significant role in the activation and processing of NFκB transcription factors. These transcription factors are essential for regulating immune responses, inflammation, and cell survival, making NIK a key player in maintaining immune homeostasis. By interacting with and acting as a co-stimulator for IkB kinase α (IKKα), NIK phosphorylates IkB, leading to its degradation and the subsequent activation of NFκB.
