AMPKα1/2 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 251-550 mapping at the C-terminus of AMPKα1 of human origin, exhibiting reactivity with mouse, rat, and human species. Anti-AMPKα1/2 antibody (D-6) targets the alpha subunits (α1 and α2) of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), a critical energy sensor and regulator of cellular metabolism. AMPK is a heterotrimeric complex composed of a catalytic α subunit and regulatory β and γ subunits. AMPK becomes activated in response to increases in the AMP/ATP ratio within cells, indicating low energy availability.
