NNT-1/BSF-3 Antibody (985-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects NNT-1/BSF-3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NNT-1/BSF-3 antibody (985-1) is available as a non-conjugated format. Neurotrophin-1/B cell-stimulating factor-3 (NNT-1/BSF-3), also known as cardiotrophin-like cytokine, plays a crucial role in immune response and neuroprotection, primarily found in lymph nodes and spleen. NNT-1/BSF-3 is essential for inducing tyrosine phosphorylation of signal transducing receptor molecule glycoprotein 130 (gp130), leukemia inhibitory factor receptor beta, and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 in SK-N-MC human neuroblastoma cells. Activation of gp130 distinguishes a group of cytokines known as IL-6 family, which share a conserved gene structure featuring one intron and a characteristic four-helix bundle in protein architecture. NNT-1/BSF-3 exhibits B cell-stimulating capabilities, highlighting its importance in both nervous and immune systems.
