Datasheets
  • IGF-I Antibody (W18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 23 publications, provided at 50 µg/0.5 ml
  • raised against recombinant protein corresponding to amino acids 49-118 of IGF-I of human origin
  • recommended for detection of IGF-I of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; non cross-reactive with mouse IGF-I or mouse or human IGF-II
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG1 BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for IGF-I Antibody (W18) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with IGF-I Antibody (W18) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

IGF-I Antibody (W18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IGF-I of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IGF-I (W18) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. Insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) is a critical peptide hormone that plays a vital role in growth and development, acting in both autocrine and paracrine manners to stimulate vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation. IGF-I is primarily located in the bloodstream and produced mainly by the liver in response to growth hormone stimulation. This localization allows IGF-I to exert systemic effects on tissues throughout the body, influencing processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and metabolism. IGF-I is essential for normal bone growth and repair, as well as for regulation of renal function and immune response. IGF-I biological activity is modulated by a family of six IGF-binding proteins (IGFBP1-6), which can either enhance or inhibit actions, thereby fine-tuning effects on various physiological processes. Understanding IGF-I dynamics and interactions is crucial for elucidating roles in health and disease, particularly in conditions related to growth disorders and metabolic syndromes.
