Estrogen Receptor alpha Antibody (2Q418) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain raised against amino acids 495-595 of bovine Estrogen Receptor alpha (ERα). Estrogen Receptor alpha monoclonal antibody (2Q418) detects ERα of mouse, rat, human, and bovine origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Estrogen receptors, including ERα and ERβ, are ligand-activated transcription factors belonging to the steroid/thyroid hormone receptor superfamily and are critically involved in regulating the normal function of reproductive tissues. ERα (2Q418) antibody targets the protein primarily located in the nucleus, where ERα binds to estrogen response elements (EREs) on DNA to regulate the transcription of target genes involved in cell growth, differentiation, and reproductive functions.
