c-Abl Antibody (8E9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to target c-Abl protein, also known as ABL1 or the Abelson murine leukemia viral oncogene homolog 1. Anti-c-Abl antibody (8E9) recognizes an epitope within the SH2 domain of full-length recombinant c-Abl, enabling detection of c-Abl in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). c-Abl protein is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a vital role in regulating cellular processes such as differentiation, division, adhesion, and response to stress. c-Abl is primarily localized in both the cytoplasm and nucleus, a distribution crucial for involvement in various signal transduction pathways and maintaining cellular homeostasis. c-Abl interacts with several key proteins, including p53, Crk, and the Ras-related GTP-binding protein p21rac, which are essential for controlling cell cycle progression and apoptosis.
