Gα s/olf Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to recognize the Gα s and Gα olf subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins, also known as the G-protein subunit from the GNAS locus or GNAL Olfactory antibody. Gα s/olf monoclonal antibody (A-5) targets an epitope comprising amino acids 82-381 at the C-terminus of the human Gα s/olf protein, ensuring robust and precise binding. Gα s and Gα olf are integral to cellular signal transduction, facilitating the relay of information from diverse cell surface receptors to intracellular effectors such as adenylyl cyclase, thereby modulating critical physiological processes like hormone secretion and olfactory perception. By translating extracellular signals into specific cellular responses, these G protein subunits play a pivotal role in maintaining various physiological functions, including metabolism, sensory detection, and neuronal communication. Gα s/olf (A-5) antibody demonstrates broad species reactivity, effectively recognizing Gα s1-4 and Gα olf proteins from mouse, rat, and human origins, making a versatile tool for cross-species studies. Gα s/olf (A-5) monoclonal antibody is compatible with a range of laboratory techniques, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), enabling comprehensive analysis of G protein-mediated pathways. Additionally, anti-Gα s/olf antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated forms and multiple conjugated variants such as horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® labels, providing flexibility to accommodate different experimental requirements. Gα s/olf (A-5) monoclonal antibody enables researchers to gain deeper insights into the mechanisms of G protein signaling and its implications in health and disease, thereby facilitating advancements in biomedical research.
