SEE ALSO...

Cdc2 p34 Antibody (17) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Cdc2 p34 protein of mouse, rat, human, and Xenopus laevis origin by western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry. Cdc2 p34 (17) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdc2 p34, also known as cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1), plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle, particularly in the transition from the G2 phase to mitosis. This regulation is vital for proper cell division and ensuring that cells replicate their DNA accurately before mitosis, thereby preventing genomic instability and potential tumorigenesis. In vertebrates, Cdc2 p34 interacts with various cyclins, which are essential for activation and function, highlighting the importance in cell cycle control. Additionally, the presence of other cyclin-dependent kinases, such as Cdk2, which also binds to cyclins, underscores the complexity of cell cycle regulation in vertebrates. Cdc2 p34 monoclonal antibody (17) detection capabilities make this reagent an invaluable tool for researchers studying cell cycle dynamics and related processes.

Which version of this antibody should be used for IP, sc-54 or sc-54 AC?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your inquiry. If the only application you intend to use this antibody for is IP, then the agarose conjugated version sc-54 AC is a great choice. If you need to use the antibody for multiple applications such as IP and Western Blot, then the unconjugated version sc-54 is best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great immunoblotting antibodies!Although this antibody was raised against human Cdc2, it immunoblots Cdc2 in Xenopus egg extracts very well with low background staining. Although there is one cross-reactive band above 60 kDa, it is far enough from the Cdc2 signal to obtain clear cut results. /Users/jxkuang/Desktop/sc-54.png
