HIF-1α Antibody (H1alpha 67) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody engineered to recognize the hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α) protein, targeting an epitope within amino acids 432-528 of human HIF-1α. Anti-HIF-1α antibody (H1alpha 67) is essential for researchers studying cellular responses to oxygen deprivation, as HIF-1α plays a critical role in regulating genes involved in glycolysis, erythropoiesis, and angiogenesis, which are vital processes for restoring oxygen homeostasis and maintaining cell growth and viability under hypoxic conditions. HIF-1α, also referred to as HIF1, MOP1, PASD8, and HIF-1alpha, is predominantly located in the cytoplasm under normal oxygen levels, where rapid degradation occurs. However, under hypoxic conditions, HIF-1α stabilizes and translocates to the nucleus, where dimerization with HIF-1β (Arnt1) forms the active HIF-1 complex. This nuclear localization is crucial for HIF-1 binding to hypoxia-responsive elements (HRE) in the DNA, thereby activating transcription of target genes that help cells adapt to low oxygen environments. HIF-1α monoclonal antibody (H1alpha 67) demonstrates broad species reactivity, effectively detecting HIF-1α in mouse, rat, and human samples, as well as in additional species such as porcine, across various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, anti-HIF-1α antibody (H1alpha 67) offers versatility with options like horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, allowing researchers to tailor their experiments to specific detection needs. By facilitating precise localization and quantification of HIF-1α within cellular compartments, HIF-1α (H1alpha 67) antibody is an indispensable tool for advancing our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying hypoxia and its impact on various physiological and pathological processes.
