DEVD-AFC acts as a synthetic substrate for caspase-3
Cleavage of the substrate may be monitored on a fluorometer or a fluorescence microplate reader; comparison of the readings with apoptotic vs. control lysates permits determination of relative caspase activity.
Kit includes substrate, cell lysis buffer, 2x reaction buffer and DTT.
