    SEE ALSO...

MFSD7 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects MFSD7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MFSD7 (B-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MFSD7, also known as major facilitator superfamily domain-containing protein 7, is a 560 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the transport of small solutes across cellular membranes, utilizing chemiosmotic ion gradients. This function is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating nutrient uptake, particularly important in tissues with high metabolic demands. MFSD7 exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms, highlighting potential versatility in various physiological contexts. The gene encoding MFSD7 is located on human chromosome 4, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Huntington′s disease and polycystic kidney disease, underscoring MFSD7′s importance in both health and disease. MFSD7 is related to MFSD2, a protein implicated in placenta morphogenesis and adaptive thermogenesis, suggesting potential roles in developmental processes and metabolic regulation.
