HEXIM1 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects HEXIM1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-HEXIM1 antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HEXIM1, known as Hexamethylene bis-acetamide inducible 1, plays a crucial role in regulating transcription by inhibiting the positive transcription elongation factor b (P-TEFb) through interaction with the 7SK small nuclear ribonucleic acid particle. This inhibition is vital for controlling gene expression at the elongation stage, which is essential for proper cellular function and response to environmental signals. HEXIM1 forms stable homo- and hetero-oligomers with HEXIM2, another member of the HEXIM family, through their C-terminal domains, facilitating the assembly of the 7SK ribonucleoprotein complex. Despite their similar functions, HEXIM1 and HEXIM2 exhibit distinct expression patterns across various cell lines and human tissues, suggesting specialized roles in different biological contexts. HEXIM1 (D-8) antibody′s availability in multiple formats enhances versatility for various experimental applications, making this tool invaluable for researchers studying transcriptional regulation and its implications in health and disease.
