SEE ALSO...

ABCA7 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ABCA7 isoforms a and b of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-ABCA7 antibody (E-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ABCA7 is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family, which plays a crucial role in the transport of lipids and other hydrophobic compounds across cellular membranes. ABCA7 is essential for lipid homeostasis, regulating ceramide transport to maintain cellular membrane integrity and signaling pathways. ABCA7 is predominantly expressed in myelolymphatic tissues, including the thymus, spleen, and bone marrow, indicating a significant role in the immune system. Full-length type I ABCA7 localizes to the plasma membrane, while type II ABCA7 primarily resides in the endoplasmic reticulum, suggesting distinct functional roles in cellular processes. Understanding ABCA7 dynamics and interactions with other proteins can provide insights into lipid metabolism and immune responses, making ABCA7 (E-11) monoclonal antibody an essential tool for researchers studying these critical biological functions.

Has this ABCA7 antibody (ABCA7 Antibody (E-11): sc-377335) been validated in a knockout? Has this antibody been directly tested for reactivity to other ABCA proteins, like ABCA1 or 2?

Asked by: Shannon
Thank you for your question. sc-377335 ABCA7 (E-11) has not be validated for knockdown. Reactivity has only been shown for ABCA7. https://www.uniprot.org/uniprotkb/Q8IZY2/entry#sequences
