MKP-3 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MKP-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MKP-3 (F-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MKP-3, a member of the dual specificity phosphatase family, plays a crucial role in regulating mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase signaling pathways, which are essential for cellular responses to growth factors and stress signals. By specifically dephosphorylating critical phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues within MAP kinases, MKP-3 serves to inactivate members of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) family, thereby modulating various physiological processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. MKP-3 expression is tightly regulated and can be induced by various stimuli, highlighting MKP-3′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing aberrant signaling that could lead to pathological conditions. Human MKP-3 is located on chromosome 12q22-q23 and encodes a 381 amino acid protein that exhibits the highest expression levels in the heart and pancreas, underscoring MKP-3′s potential significance in these tissues.
