Datasheets
  • HURP Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 417-451 within an internal region of HURP of human origin
  • recommended for detection of HURP of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for HURP Antibody (D-12) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with HURP Antibody (D-12) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

HURP Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects HURP in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HURP, also known as Hepatoma up-regulated protein or DLGAP5, is an 846 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation, particularly during the G2/M phase. HURP (D-12) antibody recognizes a protein essential for proper chromosome segregation through localization to spindle poles in mitotic cells, maintaining genomic stability. HURP′s interaction with Cdc2 p34 mediates adherens junction assembly and differentiation in epithelial cells, processes critical for tissue integrity and function. HURP undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation by ATM or ATR in response to DNA damage, which influences stability and function. Ubiquitin-induced proteasomal degradation regulates HURP levels, highlighting a dynamic role in cellular processes. Two isoforms of HURP arise from alternative splicing, contributing to functional diversity in different cellular contexts.

What is the difference between this Ab and Ab HURP (E-7):sc-377004 ?(except the fact that is a monoclonal IgG3 versus IgG1).One is more recommended for a specific application?Do both work for IF after glutaraldhyde fixation? Thanks

    Asked by: cedricc
Thank you for your question. The antibodies differ in their Ig isotypes and application recommendations. They have been raised against the same epitope region but are specific against different target sites within those. HURP Antibody (D-12): sc-376760 is only recommended for human cells and tissues, but apart from that, either of the two antibodies would be suitable for IF applications.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376760 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
