p-FAK Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 722 phosphorylated FAK of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-FAK (A-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) plays a critical role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in integrin-mediated adhesion to the extracellular matrix (ECM). FAK is primarily located at focal adhesions, specialized structures forming at the interface between cells and ECM. This localization enables FAK to interact with integrins and other signaling molecules, facilitating signal transmission that regulates cell migration, proliferation, and survival. Dynamic phosphorylation of FAK at specific tyrosine residues, such as Tyr 397 and Tyr 407, is essential for function, as phosphorylation modulates focal adhesion assembly and disassembly in response to extracellular cues. Using anti-FAK antibody (A-12), researchers can gain insights into regulatory mechanisms of cell behavior and FAK signaling implications in various physiological and pathological processes.
