claudin-5 Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that specifically detects claudin-5, also known as CLDN5, a critical component of tight junctions in endothelial and epithelial cells. Raised against amino acids 167-218 at the C-terminus of human claudin-5, anti-claudin-5 antibody (A-12) is reactive with human proteins in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Claudin-5 plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the blood-brain barrier and regulating vascular permeability, making claudin-5 essential for normal physiological functions and a key target in neurological research.
