Aurora A Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Aurora A of Xenopus origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Aurora A (D-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Aurora A is a crucial serine/threonine kinase that plays a significant role in regulating the cell cycle, particularly during the transition from G2 phase to mitosis. Aurora A′s proper function is vital for accurate chromosome segregation and cell division, and dysregulation of Aurora A is often implicated in tumorigenesis. Aurora A is primarily located in centrosomes and spindle poles during mitosis, where Aurora A is essential for formation and stabilization of the mitotic spindle. This localization ensures chromosomes are evenly distributed to daughter cells, preventing aneuploidy, which can lead to cancer. Anti-Aurora A antibody (D-2) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying cell cycle dynamics and molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression.
