Datasheets
  • E-FABP Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 75-109 within an internal region of E-FABP of human origin
  • recommended for detection of E-FABP of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine, canine and bovine
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for E-FABP Antibody (D-12) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with E-FABP Antibody (D-12) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

E-FABP Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects E-FABP in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). E-FABP, or epithelial fatty acid-binding protein, is a crucial member of the fatty acid-binding protein family, which is known for its role in lipid metabolism and cellular signaling. E-FABP is primarily located in the cytoplasm of keratinocytes and plays a significant role in keratinocyte differentiation, making E-FABP essential for maintaining skin integrity and function. E-FABP binds to fatty acids, particularly stearic acid, facilitating their transport and utilization within the cell. E-FABP′s function is highlighted by E-FABP upregulation in response to nerve injury, as observed in rat dorsal root ganglia after sciatic nerve crush, indicating E-FABP′s potential involvement in neuronal development and repair processes. Anti-E-FABP antibody (D-12) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying lipid metabolism, skin biology, and neuronal differentiation, providing insights into the complex mechanisms that govern cellular responses to fatty acids.
