SEE ALSO...

MyoD Antibody (5.8A) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specifically engineered to recognize Myogenic Differentiation 1 (MyoD), a pivotal transcription factor in the Myogenic Regulatory Factors (MRFs) family, which also includes myogenin, Myf5, and MRF4 (herculin). MyoD monoclonal antibody (5.8A) is raised against recombinant mouse MyoD, targeting an epitope located between amino acids 180-189, ensuring precise binding to the MyoD protein. MyoD plays an essential role in muscle cell differentiation by binding to E-box sequences (CANNTG) in the DNA, thereby regulating the expression of genes critical for muscle development and regeneration. By forming heterodimers with E proteins such as E2A, IF2, and HEB, MyoD activates the transcription of muscle-specific genes, making MyoD a key regulator in myogenesis. MyoD monoclonal antibody (5.8A) is recommended for use in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP) applications across multiple species, including mouse, rat, and human, without cross-reacting with other members of the MyoD family. Available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, anti-MyoD antibody (5.8A) is an indispensable tool for scientists studying the molecular mechanisms underlying muscle differentiation and regeneration.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from no signali bought it several months ago after i had seen somebody said signal was good. However, there is really no positive signal when i stained the TA tissue sections. As a positive control, sc-304 myod antibody stained specific and beautiful signal. Why does not produce sc-304?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from IHC IF on mdx tissueI was able to attain a free sample of this antibody and tried a few different fixatives (2% PFA, 4%PFA and Acetone) including the one that was referenced in the paper. There is no convincing nuclear signal that overlaps with DAPI, which is what is expected for the MyoD transcription factor. No need to include images, as there is no signal.
