hnRNP U Antibody (3G6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects hnRNP U protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-hnRNP U antibody (3G6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. hnRNP U protein, also known as HNRNPU, GRIP120, or p120, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression by participating in pre-mRNA processing and transport. hnRNP U protein is primarily located in the nucleoplasm, where hnRNP U protein interacts with RNA polymerase II transcripts, facilitating heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) maturation. hnRNP U protein′s nucleoplasm localization enables efficient processing and transport of pre-mRNA, essential for proper gene expression and cellular function. hnRNP U protein binds to DNA′s scaffold attachment region, influencing chromatin structure and gene accessibility. hnRNP U protein inhibits RNA polymerase elongation by interfering with RNA polymerase II carboxy-terminal domain phosphorylation, highlighting hnRNP U protein′s importance in transcription regulation. hnRNP U protein′s interaction with glucocorticoid receptors demonstrates a key role in modulating hormonal responses across various cellular processes.
