Description
Ammonium sulfate is a widely used reagent in molecular biology and chromatography. Common applications include precipitation and fractionation of proteins, crystallization of proteins and protein-nucleic acid complexes. Ammonium sulfate use has been reported in long PCR buffer, PCR lysis solution, second-strand cDNA synthesis, purification of antibodies, and to manufacture sulfuric acid.
