QUICK LINKS

Ciprofloxacin HCl is a highly active fluoroquinoline antibiotic effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria and mycoplasma with few known resistant strains. Ciprofloxacin HCl targets gyrases and topoisomerases inhibiting DNA unwinding. Ciprofloxacin HCl is effective at low concentrations (10 µg/ml) and can effectively eradicate mycoplasma in as little as 12 days. Ciprofloxacin HCl has been used as a plant fungicide and is an analog of Nalidixic Acid. Ciprofloxacin HCl shows a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
