epitope mapping near the C-terminus of Pericentrin 1 of human origin
recommended for detection of Pericentrin 1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including equine, canine, bovine, porcine and avian
Pericentrin 1 Background Information Pericentrin 1 (also designated Frount protein or Nucleoporin Nup75) is an integral anchor protein which has cytoskeletal anchoring activity. It is a highly conserved centrosome protein involved in microtubule organization and is also active in centrosome assembly by binding dynein complexes. Pericentrin acts as a regulator of microtubule nucleation by associating with gamma-tubulin and anchors the PKA holoenzyme at the association site. The gene encoding human pericentrin 1 maps to chromosome 17q25.2.
