Description

n-Dodecyl-β-D-maltoside is a non-ionic surfactant compound composed of a maltoside sugar with a long aliphatic side-chain. n-Dodecyl-β-D-maltoside has been described to form useful micelles for the stabilization and solubilization of proteins. n-Dodecyl-β-D-maltoside has also been employed as a non-ionic surfactant in the study of membranes and membrane-bound proteins.
