Description
Produces lower gelling and melting points and provides convenient recovery and purification of DNA from low melting agarose gels. Radiolabeled DNA probes can be made directly in remelted agarose using DNA gel slices cut from low-melting agarose gels. Cloning of restriction fragments into plasmids can be conveniently carried out directly in remelted agarose using DNA gel slices cut from low-melting agarose gels. Gels exhibit low background fluorescence using ethidium bromide staining.
