    SEE ALSO...

MBD4 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MBD4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MBD4 (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MBD4 plays a crucial role in the DNA damage repair process, specifically in the recognition and repair of mismatched base pairs that can arise during DNA replication. This function is vital for maintaining genomic stability and preventing mutations that could lead to diseases such as cancer. MBD4 is known to interact with the mismatch repair protein MLH1, which enhances binding to methylated cytosine residues in mismatched base pairs, thereby facilitating the repair process. Expression of MBD4 is particularly prominent in somatic tissues, where MBD4 contributes to the regulation of gene expression through involvement in DNA methylation pathways. Using anti-MBD4 antibody (D-6) in research can provide insights into the mechanisms of DNA repair and the implications of methylation in gene regulation, which are essential for understanding various biological processes and disease states.
