JIP-4 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects JIP-4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JIP-4 (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JIP-4, also known as C-jun-amino-terminal kinase-interacting protein 4, is a 1,321 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene SPAG9. JIP-4 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by acting as a scaffold that selectively mediates c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signaling, which is vital for various cellular processes, including stress responses, apoptosis, and differentiation. JIP-4 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and perinuclear region, where JIP-4 aggregates specific components of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascade to form functional signaling modules. This localization allows for precise regulation of JNK signaling pathways, which can influence cell fate decisions in response to external stimuli. JIP-4 has eight known isoforms, with expression levels that vary depending on tissue type and disease state, highlighting JIP-4′s potential as a biomarker for various conditions.
