GATA-3 Antibody (HG3-35) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GATA-3 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC). GATA-3 monoclonal antibody (HG3-35) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GATA-3 plays a crucial role in the development and function of T lymphocytes, acting as a key transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes involved in T cell differentiation and function. GATA-3 expression is vital for the development of the immune system, particularly in the differentiation of helper T cells, which are essential for orchestrating immune responses. GATA-3 is predominantly located in the nucleus, where GATA-3 binds to specific DNA sequences to modulate gene expression, highlighting GATA-3′s importance in cellular signaling pathways. GATA-3 is known to interact with other transcription factors, such as T-bet and RORγt, which further underscores GATA-3′s role in the complex regulatory networks that govern T cell lineage commitment and function. Understanding GATA-3 dynamics and interactions is critical for elucidating the mechanisms underlying immune responses and potential therapeutic targets in immune-related diseases.

What is the difference between HG3-31 and HG3-35?

Asked by: Vincent YU
Thank you for your question. These are two different antibody clones directed to detect GATA-3. However, they do target different epitopes, and have different reactivities. For example, sc-268 (HG3-31) is mouse, rat and human reactive, while sc-269 (HG3-35) is human reactive only.

The GATA-3 antibody (HG3-31) works OK in MCF-7 cells, but it has high background in WB with JEG-3 cells. May I have free sample of HG3-35 to test with JEG-3 cells?

Asked by: monhu
Thank you for your question. Please contact Technical Service or your local distributor for information on how to receive a free 10 ug sample of this monoclonal antibody.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-269 X be used instead of the standard form sc-269?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
