E-cadherin Antibody (67A4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects human E-cadherin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-E-cadherin antibody (67A4) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. E-cadherin, a member of the cadherin family, plays a crucial role in cell-cell adhesion, essential for maintaining tissue integrity and facilitating morphogenetic processes during development. E-cadherin primarily localizes at the cell membrane, forming adherens junctions that connect adjacent cells and contribute to tissue structural stability. This membrane localization enables E-cadherin to mediate strong intercellular adhesion, necessary for epithelial layer formation and prevention of invasive behaviors in cancer cells.
