Citrate-dextrose solution (ACD) is used for anticoagulation of whole blood and erythrocyte survival. It works by chelating the calcium ions required for coagulation, thus preventing blood clotting. Citrate-dextrose solution (ACD) is supplied as 2 x 25 ml of a 0.2 µm-filtered, high quality solution packaged in sterile glass bottles with a rubber top.

How long does this product last until expiration? Does it have to be refrigerated ?

Can ACD be used for complete picture for platelet?If it can be used ,what ratio is needed for blood and ACD?

Thank you for your question. sc-214744 is a standard ACD-A solution. It was prepared using aseptic techniques, but not tested for sterility. The purity is very high(>99%). It is not recommended for PRP treatments, this product is for research use only and not for human use or consumption.

What percent of the solution is actually citrate or dextrose? How many grams of citrate, how many grams of dextrose are in solution?

Thank you for your question. The formulation for sc-214744, Citrate-dextrose solution (ACD) is standard ACD solution A containing 7.3 g of Citric Acid; 22 g of Sodium Citrate; and 24.5 g of Dextrose in 1000mL of Sterile Water. The solution is sterile-filtered and Endotoxin levels are less than 0.25 EU/ml. Each 50 milliliter bottle of sc-214744, Citrate-dextrose solution (ACD) contains 0.365 g of Citric Acid (anhydrous); 1.1 g of Sodium Citrate (dihydrate); and 1.225 g of Dextrose (monohydrate).
