Description
4,4'-Diisothiocyano-2,2'-stilbenedisulfonic Acid has been used to inhibit anion transport in various mammalian cell types. This compound has also been reported to act as a CD4 antagonist on JM cells and is able to block gp120, the envelope glycoprotein of HIV-1. Additionally, when added to HIV-1 infected cells, the compound was reported to block virus growth.
